This sprouter was too good and caused my lentil sprouts to evolve into a higher form of life. They now worship me as their deity.

So following some health research, I decided to look at growing my own broccoli sprouts. (Check out Dr Rhonda Patrick)Anyway, at the top of the rabbit hole, you are presented with the Mason Jar method to grow year, so I bought some of the jars.I also saw this layered tray which seemed more convenient. It is.I can now layer the seeds on consecutive trays with a day or so in between. This means that when one batch is ready to remove, you’ve got more on the way.The only intervention is to get a 500ml jug, are pour water onto the top layer morning and night. Remove the water which is decanted at the bottom layer. And it’ll do it’s thing. One useful tip: keep the outer sleeve packaging. You can then use this to block out the light on the first few days(approx 4-5). This pushes the vertical growth. Then when tall enough, let it bask in natural light and you’ll see the leaves go from anaemic yellow to vibrant green as if by magic.Really simple. In daily use. Enough yield for 2 people to have the required amount. You can also increase bioavailability by eating with mustard so basically I add to salads and make dressings with mustard.

I use this product to sprout seeds in. It is very useful.

Seeds sprout really well. The only downside is that seeds and sprouts get stuck in the drainage holes. Have to watch carefully so your seeds don’t sit in water and become slimy and need throwing away. If you’ve patience, and a cocktail stick, it’s a good sprouter.

This sprouter is very easy to use. I’ve been sprouting alfalfa seeds in it, and just rinse the seeds a couple of times a day with a glass of water – and, hey presto, a tasty, crunchy salad on my windowsill in the middle of winter!
