FERROCACTUSORGAN PIPESHEDGHOG

FERROCACTUS

Ferocactus is a large barrel-shaped cacti, mostly with large spines and small flowers. There are about 30 species. They are found in the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico

ORGAN PIPE

the Organ Pipe Cactus, is a species of cactus native to Mexico and the United States. The species is found in rocky desert.

HEDGEHOG

The hedgehog cactus is a ribbed, cylindrical cactus plant. The hedgehog plant name comes from the Greek ‘echinos’ meaning porcupine. The Latin word ‘cereus,’ means candle and is a reference to the shape of the plant’s floral tube. The hedgehog cacti is native to Mexico and South Western US.

SAGUAROGOLDEN BARRELCACTI

SAGUARO

Saguaro is a Tree-like Cactus species that can grow to be over 40 ft tall. It is native to the Sonoran Desert in Arizona, the Mexican state of Sonora, and the Whipple Mountains and Imperial County areas of California. The saguaro blossom is the state wildflower of Arizona

GOLDEN BARREL

The golden barrel cactus plant (Echinocactus grusonii) is an attractive and cheerful specimen, rounded and growing to as much as three feet tall and three feet around much like a barrel, hence the name. Be careful, though, as it has long dangerous spines. As with many barrel cactus plants, the stiff yellow needles grow in clusters along ribs of the cactus.Growing Cactus from Seed is rewarding though it requires patience. The time your cactus will take to grow from seed depends on the species. The seed germination time depends on the species and where you are growing your cactus. When you choose to grow your cactus indoors, they are more likely to germinate fast. Seed germination can take between three weeks and several months.

Lovely little kit with all you need to start growing cactus. I planed mine a few weeks ago and the large seeds are now germinating (small ones still to come up hopefully). Really easy and such fun, recommended!

  2. ALBERTO

Very easy although the instructions were not as clear as expected, but there is a video more clear in the official web page. The cactus are growing as expected, slowly but steadily. Very please with my purchase.

  3. M DAWSON

A lovely little kit with everything you need, would be ideal for children or adults, just have to wait and watch them grow

  4. Leah Wright-Tiramakea

I’ve been meaning to start growing some cactus for way too long… This little product is a totally perfect excuse that I couldn’t miss. Great quality packaging, easy to follow instructions & everything I needed to start me off. I followed all the instructions & planted the seeds just over a week ago & they’re already germinating – lucky me! Made my day! :).

Love this product. Bought 2. One as a gift and one for me. It’s fun to set up and the instructions are, thankfully, very clear.Looking forward to seeing the seeds grow.Patience is mandatory.

  6. Kindle Customer

Bought as a present. Recipient followed instructions (though seeds were in such a tiny packet they nearly got thrown out with the packaging!) and put pots on sunny windowsill.Just under two weeks later they have sprouted. You have to look closely, but there are a good number of baby cacti growing. Can’t wait to see how they develop.

  7. suzyswiftsuzyswift

Planted the seeds about 8 weeks ago and 17 baby cacti have grown from them. So far so good hopefully I can nurture them into full adult cacti

  8. Fitzgerald Says

I’m still waiting for it to grow – it requires the art of patience.I’m giving it 5 stars as it arrived on time, and has everything you need to grow the cactus, and have faith that one day we will have a cactus that will be the envy of…well…people who like cacti! When it starts to grow I’ll add images

I bought this product almost 3 months ago and I couldn’t be happier. After about 10 days I noticed growth but I was worried it must be a weed somehow because the instructions said it could take up to 2 months to germinate. Turns out I was lucky and these germinated pretty quick. I currently have 12 cacti growing but I did have much more than this, but some had to get thrown out. I love that the pots in this kit are compostable, but because of the material on of my cacti was growing out the pot rather than the soil. Another issue that was no fault of the product was that one of my pots was completely contaminated with mould. The kits whilst great for cacti, also happen to be a great environment for mould. I would still recommend this kit for sure.
