I understand people’s frustration if the seeds don’t germinate, but I think if you wait they probably would still grow. I watered mine every day, and kept them under a cling-film wrap to keep the moisture in. Some germinated early and died off, and some didn’t germinate at all, but out of all the seeds, I’ve now finally got a few baby cactuses that seem to be growing strong. If you want a sure-thing, just buy a grown cactus, but if you want the satisfaction of growing your own, I’d recommend this seed kit for sure.

Bought this for my husband as he seems to be going thru a phase of wanting cactus and doing terrariums etc so I thought he would enjoy growing his own!Within 2 days we had 2 cactus growing! Be patient with the others as we had a different variety start growing about 4 weeks after! Not all the seeds have germinated but it’s been fun doing this! Still holding on just Incase others eventually germinate as I know from other reviews that over a month later some started to show!

It is really great value with 5 different types of cactus to grow but also comes complete with compost and bio-degradable pots so its environmentally friendly too. Super humourous packaging too – all in all a great present and one down on the Christmas List!

I get so excited when planting things, I feel so proud when things grow and flourish. I purchased this, and a bonsai kit, planted them all on the same day, and wanted them to grow immediately.I literally planted them a week and a day ago and 90% of the cacti are already sprouting. Very nicely packaged and everything you need is in there.Would have liked to see a little more info on caring for your cacti after grown and repotting.And the seedbags are named by the first part of the plants name which means you get 3 bags named Ferocactus. Hard to select thw right one if you don’t want or can’t grow all 5.Other than that it’s great.Planted 3 days ago and already got one curious little seed poking its head!
